In a rural setting, this cottage offered a great stage for something special to be created in the garden. A large part of the client’s brief was to ensure the finished garden allowed for eye-capturing areas to entertain, socialise and relax, whatever the weather.
A large deck area awaits when stepping out from the bifold doors, along with an indoor seating/cooking/social area as you move over to porcelain paving.
Artful level changes feature throughout this garden, denoting different uses for differing levels. Large borders soften the hard landscaping and are steeped with perennials along with the odd elusive shrub and tree-giving structure.
A subtle water feature adds to the atmosphere and accompanies the sound of bees and birds. The main seating area offers plenty of light with an almost invisible glass side, skylights to match, along with lighting and heating for those late-night gatherings.
A combination of contrasting materials works with harmony in this space. We are thrilled that we could be part of creating this wonderful space.
