We were excited to be able to deliver this garden design in Bury, north Manchester. This particular area had a more rural feel to it, overlooking farmland. It was a new build plot for a growing family, with lots of potential. One of the clients is from warmer climates on mainland Europe and very much wanted this to be reflected in the DNA of the design.

Mediterranean-style planting and colours were important, along with areas for family and larger social gatherings. A separate area for solitary moments such as yoga and meditation was important too. Clever manipulation of the levels was needed to ensure it was child-friendly, using a natural hedge barrier on higher levels while making it accessible for pets too.

Lighting gave a huge impact to this space as evenings drew near, especially with the large more exotic trees and shrubs to illuminate. Steel pergola features gave structure alongside the planting. The family continues to enjoy this and we are delighted with the end result.
