A GARDEN TO VIEW - Whalley
Front areas can be just as common for design as back gardens can, however, it is much less common for the front to be designed to be a usable space. Often front areas are designed to be more functional i.e. for a driveway or to add curb appeal to the property, so it was a delight to be asked to be involved in this type of project.
While the overall scheme does include a driveway, the main area is very much a garden. A formal planting scheme reflects the straight lines and crisp angles throughout the space. Feature rocks that mirror the colour scheme of the paving give a great focal point to the area. A seating space that looks onto the garden, with the house beyond, offers views onto a lush green lawn, giving a feel of seclusion. This area is given a second life when darkness falls with a stylish lighting scheme that changes the whole complexion of the space. The finish is superb and the clients are delighted as are we.
